ATrad Order Management System was integrated with Bloomberg EMSX in 2015 to enable foreign clients participating in trading at the Colombo Stock Exchange to be able to place their orders directly through the Bloomberg terminal at their convenience, which was received and managed by the ATrad Order Management System allowing the corresponding local broker firm to process the order accordingly.

ATrad has revamped its integration with Bloomberg EMSX in August 2021, now allowing the corresponding local broker firms to create and manage split orders under a single parent order created through the BB terminal. Real-time updates on the actions taken and partial or full executions are provided to the customers through the BB terminal, eliminating the inconveniences of using multiple platforms or alternative channels of communication for updates.

The access extended to the CSE through the revamped integration is not only to Bloomberg, but is extended further to any third party order management system that is integrated with Bloomberg to be able to place orders on the Colombo Stock Exchange. The integration is expected to be a major enabler leveraged by the broker firms in Sri Lanka in their foreign client acquisition initiatives.
