This year Lakmini attended the EY EWW 2018 conference as a panelist and once again earned the mantle of being the first local entrepreneur to represent the nation at such a panel.

ATrad, the Sri Lanka-developed online stock broking platform, recently celebrated the milestone achievement of 85 per cent deployment among stock broking firms operating at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE).

The celebratory event organised for the management of leading stock broking firms was graced by the Prime Minister Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe and was attended by stock market analysts and the senior management of IronOne Technologies, the developer of the platform.

Speaking at the event, IronOne Technologies CEO Ms Lakmini Wijesundera said: “There can be no better testament to the success of ATrad than having 85 per cent of Sri Lanka’s stock broking firms using the solution. We have also introduced the platform to stock brokers of the Bombay Stock Exchange and are now poised to venture into more international emerging markets with ATrad.”

CEO of Ironone Technologies was the Chief Guest of the recently held Prize Giving of the department of English at the University of Colombo. Lakmini shared a inspirational speech to motivate the students to dream big and continue to persevere on their aspirations until they achieve them. She also shared her journey of global expansion for BoardPAC highlighting challenges and how they were overcome. She specially addressed the ladies in the audience on the opportunities presented to them in the present day and for them to take these opportunities boldly.

Professor Athula Ranasinghe the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor K. K. R Mahanama Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Neloufer De Mel Head of the Department of English were among the distinguished gathering at the event.

The 2017 conference was held under the topic of “Africa Mapping the Future”. Atrad demonstrated its solutions for the Association of stockbroking houses of Nigeria (ASHON) members. This was result of the ASHONs efforts to create a positive outlook for the Nigerian financial market and economy.
